This Saturday, we’re doing something different for 4th of July weekend…
We’re not selling food.
We’re not throwing a party.
We’re not asking for anything in return.
We’re giving away barbecue meals — but here’s the twist:
They’re not for you.
They’re for someone you know who needs to feel seen.
Maybe it’s a relationship that needs mending.
Maybe it’s a friend you haven’t talked to in years.
Maybe it’s a neighbor you’ve never said a word to.
Maybe it’s a stranger living on the street.
A veteran alone at the VA.
A first responder who hasn’t had a break in months.
Someone quietly drowning behind a brave face.
Pick up a meal.
Deliver it with love.
Say, “I thought you could use this.”
That’s it.
No politics. No preaching. Just presence.
Because we believe food can do what shouting never will.
It can heal.
It can unite.
It can remind us all that we still belong to each other.
So this Saturday—July 5 at noon—we’ll be handing out free meals from the parking lot of The Gnome.
Barbecue chicken. Ranch beans. Coleslaw. Boxed up and ready to give away. We’ll be there until the food runs out. Chef Brian will be at the grill.
